TSAMTO, August 25. Rosoboronexport signed a contract at the Army-2021 forum for the integration of the Russian Palm air defense system into the armament system of the foreign customer's ship. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was announced by the company's CEO Alexander Mikheev.
This is one of almost 20 contracts signed by Rosoboronexport on the sidelines of the forum.
"For the first time at Army-2021, Rosoboronexport signed a contract for the integration of the Russian ship's Palm air defense missile and artillery complex into the armament system of a foreign customer's ship," A. Mikheev said.
According to him, the industrial partnership today is one of the main and fastest growing trends in the global arms market. Rosoboronexport has a rich technology transfer portfolio.
"We have a large – scale and long-term cooperation program with India, there are major joint projects with Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Brazil, Jordan and a number of other countries, "RIA Novosti quotes A. Mikheev.
The Palm complex is armed with Vietnamese frigates of the project 11661"Cheetah-3.9"purchased in Russia. In the Russian Navy, this complex is installed in the artillery version on the 22350 frigates.
