TSAMTO, August 24. Contracts for the modernization of Tu-95MS and MiG-31 aircraft were signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the enterprises of PJSC UAC (part of the Rostec State Corporation) within the framework of the Army-2021 MVTF.
The state contract for the deep modernization of the Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers to the level of the Tu-95MSM was signed by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko and the Managing Director of PJSC Tupolev Vadim Korolev.
The work on the deep modernization of the Tu-95MS is being carried out jointly by PJSC Tupolev and PJSC Beriev TANTK.
As part of the deep modernization, modern complexes and systems of avionics and general aircraft equipment are being installed on the Tu-95MS, which significantly increases the efficiency indicators of the aviation complex when used for its intended purpose.
The Tu-95MSM is a new modification of the world's fastest turboprop missile carrier aircraft, the Tu-95MS.
Two state contracts were signed between the Russian Defense Ministry and the RSC MiG. One of them is for repair and modernization of MiG-31K interceptor fighters, carriers of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. Another is another state contract for the repair of MiG-31 aircraft with modernization to the level of the MiG-31BM.
The documents were signed by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko and the managing director of the MiG Corporation Andrey Gerasimchuk. The MiG-31 is the first fourth-generation combat vehicle created for use in the country's air defense system. The only plant that produces them in series is the Nizhny Novgorod aviation plant "Sokol" of the RSC"MiG".
