"Promobot" presented a humanoid robot Robo-C, which will be able to replace soldiers at the checkpoint

PERM, 24 Aug - RIA Novosti. A humanoid robot that can replace soldiers at the checkpoint is presented at the Army-2021 forum, the Promobot company told RIA Novosti.

"At the Russian Army forum, a humanoid robot robo-c is presented, which will be able to replace employees at the checkpoint. It can communicate with people, answer questions, integrate with third-party systems and services, scan passes and documents, " the company said.

It is specified that the robo-c droid can have the appearance of any person. It has a silicone skin, movable eyes, a computing unit equipped with a camera and a microphone, with their help the robot interacts with interlocutors. He has an active facial expression with more than 600 facial movements, a mobile neck and trunk.

According to the developers, the robo-c robot can replace or supplement employees in boring and monotonous operations, such as issuing passes, consulting, administration.

"Visitors of the exhibition, including representatives of the Ministry of Defense, showed interest in the development, since the robot can be useful at checkpoints and military facilities. Humanoid robots are the technologies of today, they penetrate a large number of industries, our company is the leading developer of these technologies in Russia, " the company added.

The company "Promobot" was founded in 2015 in Perm. Promobots work in 43 countries of the world as administrators, promoters, consultants, guides and concierges, replacing or supplementing "live" employees. They can be found in Sberbank, the Museum of Modern History of Russia, the MFC, the Baltimore-Washington Airport, the Dubai Mall. All the company's products are manufactured and developed in Russia.

The Army-2021 Forum is held from August 22 to 28 in the military-patriotic park of culture and recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Patriot", at the Kubinka airfield and the Alabino training ground, as well as in all military districts and in the Northern Fleet. Within the framework of the events, exhibition expositions, demonstration and scientific and business programs are provided.
