KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 24. /TASS/. Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec state Corporation) is expecting the release of a lightweight export version of the T-90 tank. This was reported to TASS during the international military-technical forum "Army-2021" by the company.
"The basis of Russian tank exports remains the T-90 and its modifications. This is a reliable, modern tank with the highest combat power, has a positive combat experience, it is equipped with the latest dynamic and active protection, as well as the latest fire control system. Moreover, in the near future, Rosoboronexport expects the release of a lightweight version of this tank, adapted to the requirements of a number of foreign customers. This will significantly increase its export attractiveness, "Rosoboronexport informed.
According to the company, traditional operators of Russian land equipment from the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region and Africa are also interested in the latest T-14 Armata tank. "Rosoboronexport has already presented the tank both at the Army Forum in 2020 and at IDEX-2021 in Abu Dhabi. A number of countries want to cooperate on Armata ,including within the framework of the industrial partnership," Rosoboronexport reported.
The international military-technical forum "Army-2021" is being held in Kubinka near Moscow from August 22 to 28.
