The air defense calculations used the Favorit anti-aircraft missile system and the Pantsir-S1 missile and gun system to repel a raid by bombers and unmanned aircraft of a conditional enemy at the Privolzhsky airfield in the Astrakhan region.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, the crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers acted as the enemy.
The special exercise is held simultaneously at 25 training grounds in the Astrakhan, Volgograd and Rostov regions, in the Kuban and Stavropol regions, in Dagestan, North Ossetia, Chechnya, Karachay-Cherkessia, Crimea and at military bases in Abkhazia, Armenia and South Ossetia.
In total, up to ten thousand personnel were involved, about three thousand pieces of equipment were involved.
During the exercise, they work out the management of logistics during the deployment of troops.
