As noted in the Civil Code, the modernization of the SVD can be performed during the service contract. "The chassis is offered as a bolt-on kit, and as part of a service contract, which may include not only the installation of the chassis on the products of the customer, including, but also a training program for the customer to independently upgrade the products," the press service reported.
Kalashnikov reported that several hundred thousand SVDs are in operation in the world. "This platform, being absolutely adequate for the ammunition used, requires modernization to work with modern thermal imaging sighting complexes and day/night sighting complexes," the Civil Code summed up.
