The President pointed out that the development of Russia's naval potential will continue, as well as the improvement of the fleet's basing system and infrastructure.
"(We will continue) to equip the ships with the latest weapons and equipment. To work out complex combat training tasks at exercises and in long-distance sea trips. To demonstrate the Russian flag in strategically important areas of the World Ocean, " Putin said.
The Head of State stressed that high-precision weapons will be installed on all ships that are being laid at Russian shipyards on Monday. We are talking about two multi-purpose ships of the near sea zone and four submarines of the far sea zone.
"All ships will be equipped with modern high-precision weapons, the latest means of control and communication. The effectiveness of most of them has been confirmed during the implementation of combat missions in Syria, " the president said.
By 2027, the share of modern Navy ships should reach 70%, Putin said.
