"The inclusion of the small rocket ship "Cyclone" in the combat composition of the Black Sea Fleet is planned for the end of 2021. The ship will perform tasks as part of a connection of missile ships of the Black Sea Fleet, " the message says.
Currently, preparations for testing the new ship have been completed, they are planned to begin in the near future. The Cyclone is based in Novorossiysk, where its state tests will be carried out. The ship's crew, formed from contract servicemen, after completing training at the Joint Naval Training Center in St. Petersburg, arrived on the ship and began to master it.
The small rocket ship "Cyclone" was built at the shipyard "Gulf" in Kerch and launched in the summer of 2020. It belongs to the project of small rocket ships "Karakurt", is armed with a universal missile system with Kalibr missiles, an AK-176MA artillery system, an anti-aircraft missile system "Pantsir-M", large-caliber machine gun installations. The cruising range of the ship is 2,500 miles, the autonomy is 15 days.
