The company ZALA Aero is developing a marine version of the kamikaze attack drone KUB-UAV. The main stage of the state tests of the complex is in the final stage.
This was announced by representatives of the company at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021". They added that the KUB-UAV will be operated on high-speed transport and landing boats and special purpose ships, which will significantly increase their combat capabilities.
In addition, the marine use of kamikaze drones can be implemented for all ZALA aerial reconnaissance complexes, which is important for a comprehensive solution for monitoring and protecting national territorial waters. One of the priority areas is the swarming use of KUB-UAVs as part of reconnaissance and strike complexes.
The forum noted that this will be the first Russian sample of unmanned aerial vehicles of this type.
