A new modification of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle equipped with the Berezhok module will be presented for the first time at the Army-2021 international military-technical forum. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the holding company "High-precision Complexes" of the Rostec State Corporation.
"At the Army-2021 forum, the BMP-3 with the Berezhok combat module developed by the Shipunov Instrument Design Bureau (part of the Rostec State Corporation's High - Precision Complexes holding) will be presented," the press service informed.
As reported in the "High-precision complexes", the modernization of the BMP-3 continues, involving the installation of new weapons systems. "The appearance of the BMP-3 will completely change when installing new combat modules. It is planned to use other weapons systems that are suitable for the overall mass characteristics of the BMP-3 chassis, which, of course, should remain a floating machine, " the press service added.
Currently, the Russian Armed Forces are supplied with a BMP-2M combat vehicle equipped with the Berezhok module.
