The ship's crew has already been trained
PATRIOT PARK /Moscow Region/, August 22. / TASS/. The rocket corvette of the project 20380 "Zealous", which is being built at the Northern Shipyard, will enter factory sea trials in November. This was announced to TASS by the general director of the enterprise Igor Orlov during the forum "Army-2021".
"The arrival of the crew on the corvette will take place in September. In November, we expect to send the "Zealous" to the factory sea trials, " said the general director of the shipyard.
According to him, the ship's crew has been trained and is due to arrive in St. Petersburg at the Northern Shipyard in early September. The premises for the team's accommodation are prepared.
"Now we are checking and putting into operation various ship systems, galley and medical units. After moving in, the personnel will study the ship, get acquainted with the ship's documentation, mechanisms and equipment," Orlov said.
The corvette "Zealous" is the fifth ship of the project 20380, under construction at the " Northern Shipyard "(part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation). It was laid down on February 20, 2015, and launched on March 12, 2020. The ship is being built by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the Black Sea Fleet. The ships of the project 20380 developed by the Central Marine Design Bureau "Almaz" are designed to perform escort and strike tasks in the near sea zone, patrol coastal waters, patrol service. The main strike armament of the ships of the project 20380 is the anti-ship missile system "Uran".
