The company noted that the UAVs are designed primarily for the examination of complex, hard-to-reach and dangerous places for human life
PATRIOT PARK /Moscow Region/, August 22. / TASS/. The Kronshtadt company presented at the Army-2021 forum a new line of mini-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that will allow exploring dangerous and hard-to-reach places for humans, in particular, conducting a pre-launch inspection of space rockets. This was reported to TASS on Sunday in the company's press service.
"The Kronstadt Company presented a new line of small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles for civil purposes at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum. Small UAVs will allow you to get access to hard-to-reach objects and conduct their accident-free inspection, " the company's press service reported.
Kronshtadt JSC noted that copter-type UAVs ("Aliot" and "Mizar") are designed primarily for inspection and inspection of complex, hard-to-reach and dangerous places for human life and monitoring of objects in emergency situations. Aircraft-type UAVs ("Luman" and "Merak") can be successfully used for monitoring extended and area objects, for studying the migration of animals and birds, as well as for conducting search and rescue operations.
"The small size and weight of the entire UAV line allow you to quickly transport or transfer any UAV complex to the area of its application without additional complex means of delivery. Drones are created according to the modular principle - you can install and quickly change different payloads on them to conduct the necessary surveys. The specialized software of these complexes and the means of processing the accumulated data based on the results of inspections and surveys allow us to predict the condition of objects in time, as well as taking into account the conditions of their operation," the press service said.
"Such drones may be of interest to oil and gas processing and high-tech industries and operators of nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, GRES, hydroelectric power plants and power transmission lines. They can be used for inspection of highways, railways, viaducts, bridges, overpasses, inspection of ships and airliners. In addition, such UAVs can be used in the interests of Roscosmos for pre-launch inspection of space rockets, launch pads and at shipbuilding and aircraft manufacturing enterprises. We assume that in two or three years we will be able to enter large-scale serial deliveries of mini-UAVs, "the press service quoted Sergey Bogatikov, General Director of Kronstadt JSC, as saying.
Bogatikov stressed that in the serial version, the complexes of small-sized UAVs will be a relatively inexpensive professional means of inspection - they are significantly cheaper than possible analogues with similar characteristics.
