"Readiness for docking under the temporary scheme will be provided by the end of this year, but taking into account weather conditions, the docking will take place in the warm season, next year. Taking into account the agreed schedule, " he said.

According to the results of a closed tender, the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has signed a contract for the construction of a dry dock for the repair of the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. The contractor was the company "Orgenergostroy".
USC and the Russian Defense Ministry signed a contract for the repair of the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov in April 2018. Viktor Bursuk, who held the position of deputy commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy at that time, reported that repair work on the aircraft carrier began in May of the same year, and in 2021 the fleet hopes to get an updated ship back.
