The Russian Defense Ministry has published video footage of how the head of the Russian military department, Sergei Shoigu, personally checks the condition of the tank biathlon track at the Alabino training ground near Moscow.
Shoigu sat down at the levers of the T-80BVM tank and drove along the entire 4-kilometer route, on which the best tank crews from several countries of the world will soon compete in the speed of overcoming obstacles and accuracy of hitting targets within the framework of the Army International Games.
The military department reported that following the results of the inspection of the route, Sergei Shoigu highly appreciated the readiness of the infrastructure of the test site in Alabino for the ArMI-2021 and wished success in the competitions to the Russian crews of combat vehicles.
It is also known that the chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov also participated in checking the condition of the landfill. He appreciated it by sitting down at the levers and driving along the highway on a T-72 battle tank.
Recall that in the tank biathlon at the Army International Games, crews will compete from August 22 to September 4. This year, teams from more than two dozen countries will take part in the competition.
