MOSCOW, Aug 18-RIA Novosti. The new combat module "Hunter" developed and produced by NPO Elektromashina (part of the Uralvagonzavod concern is part of Rostec) has been put into mass production, the press service of the concern told reporters.
"The universal combat module "Hunter" has successfully passed qualification tests and has been put into mass production. The combat module will be shown at the international forum "Army-2021", the UVZ said.
The concern clarified that the remotely controlled platform is in demand in the troops for various purposes. In particular, a series of five " Hunters "was shipped to Remdiesel for installation on Typhoon-K armored vehicles.

This year, the products of "Electric Machines" for these cars were delivered after a number of improvements. In particular, a new Russian-made machine gun is installed on the combat module, which was created specifically for robotic complexes, " said Ivan Korolkov, Deputy General Director for special Equipment of JSC NPO Elektromashina, as quoted by the press service.
According to him, thanks to the modernization, the effectiveness of hitting the "Hunter" on the target increased by 20-30%.
In 2021, the serial Hunter will be delivered to the UKBTM experimental machine (part of the Uralvagonzavod concern) and to the production equipment of several other Russian enterprises.
According to the press service, the versatility of the module allows it to be used on special equipment of various branches of the armed forces, including land and engineering, from which applications for the Hunter have already been received.
The stabilized remotely controlled platform is designed for monitoring and conducting combat operations from a protected location of the shooter. It has thermal imaging surveillance, built-in diagnostics of the system's serviceability, a cartridge counter with an indication of the end of ammunition, a gyroscopic system for stabilizing the sight and weapons, a laser rangefinder. The module also uses an automatic platoon, that is, the shooting takes place completely remotely.
The targeted firing of the combat module can be carried out when moving at a speed of up to 20-30 kilometers per hour with the defeat of the target at a distance of up to 1 kilometer. The module is equipped with 250 rounds of ammunition. The total ammunition of the module is 1 thousand rounds.
