TSAMTO, August 18. The 15th International Defense Industry Exhibition IDEF-2021, which is one of the ten largest global defense industry forums, opened in Istanbul on August 17.
On the first day of the IDEF-2021 exhibition, Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus, met with Colonel-General Zakir Asker oglu, Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, and Madat Guliyev, Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan.
The parties discussed the current state of military-technical cooperation, and also confirmed their interest in its development in a wide range of areas, the press service of the State Military Industry Committee of the Republic of Belarus reports.

According to the CAMTO, Belarus ranks third in the ranking of the largest exporters of PVN to Azerbaijan in the period 2013-2020 – $ 627.5 million. The order portfolio formed in 2013-2020 amounts to $ 253 million.
According to the previous 8-year period (2006-2013), Belarus ranked fourth in the ranking of the largest exporters of PVN to Azerbaijan – $ 304.5 million (the order portfolio formed in 2006-2013 was $ 553 million).
In the segment of land weapons, Belarus supplied 60 T-72 MBT from the country's Armed Forces to Azerbaijan (2005-2006, about $ 30 million), in 2012 another 62 T-72 MBT was delivered in the amount of $ 30 million. Also, 12 units of 203-mm CAO 2S7 were delivered from the Armed Forces (2008-2009, about $ 6 million). In addition, 30 units of 122-mm D-30 guns (2010, about $ 5 million) and 26 units of 152-mm PA 2A36 "Hyacinth-B" guns were delivered from the Armed Forces in 2017.
In 2018, Belarus also supplied Azerbaijan with 10 new MLRS "Polonaise".
In the aviation segment, Belarus supplied Azerbaijan with 7 Su-25 "Grach" attack aircraft from the Armed Forces (2009-2012, about $ 14 million).
The largest deliveries were made in the air defense segment. In particular, 27 batteries were upgraded (4 PU in each) The S-125 Pechora air defense system in the S-125 Pechora-2T variant (a total of 108 PU, 2010-2017, about $ 250 million). In addition, Belarus has upgraded 36 Osa air defense systems to the Osa-1T variant (2007-2009, about $ 72 million), 3 Buk-M1 air defense systems batteries (6 combat vehicles each) to the Buk-MB level (2013-2015, $ 80 million). Minsk also supplied Baku under two contracts with 5 batteries of the T38 Stiletto air defense system (a total of 20 new combat vehicles, 2013-2016, $ 250 million) and the R-934UM2 Groza radar (2017, about $ 20 million).
