The military from Russia has prepared equipment for training for the Suvorov Onslaught competition. This is reported by the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. During the comprehensive inspection, much attention was paid to checking the condition of fire control systems, engines, chassis, etc.
This year, our crews will perform on the BMP-3 for the first time. Previously, only second-generation combat vehicles were involved in the competitions.
The "troikas"were transferred to the Korla training ground of the training center of the People's Liberation Army of China by military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The BMP-3 has higher tactical and technical characteristics compared to its predecessors. So, in addition to a 30-mm cannon and a 7.62-mm machine gun, another 100-mm rifled gun is used as an armament.
The machines are well adapted to operation in hot conditions, have good mobility and maneuverability, which is provided by 500 hp engines, more advanced transmissions and reliable running gear. The maximum speed on the highway is 70 km / h. The fuel reserve is 600 km.
The sighting complex is equipped with everything necessary to confidently hit various targets on the move at considerable distances.
The Russian team is represented by the best crews-winners and prize-winners of the all-army stages of the competition-cadets of the Far Eastern Higher Combined-Arms Command Order of the Zhukov School named after Marshal of the Soviet Union K. K. Rokossovsky and representatives of the Southern Military District.
At the Suvorov Onslaught competition, other participants who arrived in China, and these are representatives of Belarus and Venezuela, will perform on Chinese ZBD-86A infantry fighting vehicles, which are a deep modernization of the BMP-1.
