MOSCOW, August 17. /TASS/. Uralvagonzavod (UVZ, part of the UVZ concern, part of Rostec) will present the BMPT-72 and the T-90MS tank at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum. Both cars demonstrate the modernization potential of the plant's equipment, the press service of the concern told TASS.
"The T-90MS and BMPT-72 tanks created in the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering are a successful modernization of the T-90S and T-72 tanks, respectively. They clearly demonstrate how it is possible to extend the active and efficient operation of this special equipment with the greatest benefit and the lowest costs. The large modernization potential of the vehicles makes it possible to improve their design based on modern requirements and offer the customer a new combat unit with increased capabilities or transformed for specified tasks," the press service explained.
The T-90MS tank with a highly automated combat module, which is equipped with a multispectral gunner's sight and a commander's panoramic sight, allows the commander not only to get more information about the situation, but also to control the weapons of the combat vehicle.
"For the destruction of tank-dangerous enemy manpower in the BMPT-72 Tagil designers laid a large ammunition package, including with fragmentation shells. And the large angles of guidance of automatic guns of the product allow you to hit targets on the upper floors of buildings, to fire at low-flying aerial targets such as unmanned aerial vehicles. One BMPT will easily replace two IFVs and a motorized rifle platoon, " the plant added.
The international military-Technical Forum "Army-2021 "will be held on the basis of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, as well as at the Kubinka airfield and the Alabino training ground from August 22 to 28.
