TSAMTO, August 17. One of the most important promising areas of activity of the production unitary enterprise "Plant of Precision Electromechanics" (Republic of Belarus) is the creation of aviation weapons for UAVs.
As part of the development of this area of activity, the plant's specialists are developing a small-sized controlled planning aircraft bomb UPAB-08 and a corrected aircraft bomb KAB-05 for UAVs on an initiative basis.
The peculiarity of these weapons of destruction is their low mass, the relative prostate of the structure in combination with high aerodynamic characteristics.
These developments of the enterprise aroused great interest among specialized specialists during the Minsk arms exhibition forum MILEX-2021.
The small-sized guided planning aviation bomb UPAB-08 is designed to destroy manpower, automotive, armored vehicles, missile launchers, elements of the air defense system and control points, as well as other elements of the enemy's military and industrial infrastructure.
The product provides a combined control system that allows you to control the weapon in inertial mode and using satellite navigation.
The UPAB-08 has a two-module type of warhead consisting of cumulative fragmentation and high-explosive components. The bomb is equipped with a contact fuse. The maximum heights of combat use depend on the "ceiling" of the UAV carrier of the weapon.
Tactical and technical characteristics of the UPAB-08: weight-8 kg, length-980 mm, wingspan-460 mm, mass of the UPAB-08 warhead-cumulative fragmentation-2.5 kg, high-explosive fragmentation-2 kg, minimum application height-500 m, circular probable deviation – The effective radius of fragmentation damage on unprotected manpower is up to 20 m.
The small-sized adjustable aircraft bomb KAB-05 is designed to destroy manpower, automotive, armored vehicles, missile launchers, elements of the air defense system and control points, as well as other elements of the enemy's military and industrial infrastructure.
The KAB-05 is also controlled by a combined system that combines the inertial mode and the use of satellite navigation. The bomb is equipped with a cumulative fragmentation warhead and a contact fuse. The maximum heights of combat use also depend on the maximum altitude characteristics of the drone using the weapon.
Tactical and technical characteristics of the KAB-05: weight-5 kg, length-830 mm, wingspan-260 mm, weight of the warhead-2.5 kg, minimum height of application-500 m, circular probable deviation – The effective radius of fragmentation damage on unprotected manpower is up to 15 m.
