The first client for the corporation will be the American company Fisker, for which Foxconn plans to produce up to 150 thousand electric cars a year from 2023. Annually, production volumes will grow to 300-500 thousand units. The plant in Thailand will focus on the production of components for cars.
In the United States, a number of states are planning to ban the sale of cars with a gasoline engine in the future. In particular, the sale of gasoline-powered cars will be limited in California from 2035. At the same time, residents of the state will not be prohibited from owning gasoline-powered cars or selling them.
