TSAMTO, August 16. Since 2016, the Strategic Missile Forces have received more than 70 Typhoon-M combat anti-sabotage vehicles (BPDM).
The Typhoon-M BPDM was developed in the interests of the Strategic Missile Forces on the basis of the BTR-82 armored personnel carrier. The machine is designed for conducting reconnaissance in the positional areas of the RVSN formations in the radar, optical and infrared wave ranges, as well as for combating sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy.
The uniqueness of this machine lies in its equipment with a complex of reconnaissance means, including an unmanned aerial vehicle. "Typhoon-M" has the ability to detect the enemy at a considerable range.
Along with the BPDM, the troops receive a unique simulator for training the personnel of the security and intelligence units in its use, which allows them to find sabotage groups in the invisibility zones of optical-electronic and radio-electronic means.
Thanks to its versatility, the simulator makes it possible to train the entire crew of the Typhoon-M - from the driver mechanic to the shooter of the remotely controlled weapons platform.
In 2021, the delivery of the Typhoon-M BPDM to missile formations will continue, according to the Information Support Group of the Strategic Missile Forces.
