Japanese journalists and users were delighted with the modernized domestic T-90M "Breakthrough" tank. Excellent cross-country ability, increased safety of the crew and the relative lightness of the design-all this attracted the attention of the authors.
In the material of the Yahoo News Japan portal, they said that the tank has been radically updated compared to its predecessors — it has become more squat and inconspicuous. And it also boasts impressive characteristics.
The Japanese noted the appearance of a fundamentally new tower with a 125-mm cannon, as well as guided missiles for destroying armored vehicles and helicopters at a distance of up to 5 km. The new 12-cylinder engine demonstrates a power of up to 1130 horsepower, which is very important for its dimensions. The T-90M tank can reach speeds of up to 70 km / h on the highway and up to 45-50 km/h on rough terrain.
The automated fire control system and the panoramic sight seriously affected the accuracy and preparation time of the first shot. Even modern electronics quickly tracks targets in the "hunter-shooter" firing mode, when the commander conducts reconnaissance regardless of the position of the tower.
By the end of this year, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) will receive 20 new T-14 Armata tanks. This was announced on August 10 by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko during the single day of acceptance of military products.
