The joint Russian-Lao exercise "Laros-2021" is being held on the territory of Russia for the first time. The first joint exercise was held in 2019 in Laos. On the Russian side, tank units of the combined-arms army of the VVO, stationed in the Primorsky Territory, are participating.
The servicemen are practicing joint actions in the fight against illegal armed groups. In total, 500 servicemen take part in the exercise, about 100 units of military equipment are involved, including Su-25 attack aircraft and Ka-52 attack helicopters of the VVO.
