The production of Belarusian armored cars "Kaiman" at the 140th repair plant in the city of Borisov began six years ago. These vehicles are designed for conducting reconnaissance, escorting convoys and performing a large list of other special tasks.

It is believed that the prototype of this technique was the well-known and proven Soviet BRDM-2 for decades of operation. Currently, most of the components, including the housing, are made in Belarus.
