Arsenyev Aviation Company "Progress" named after N. I. Sazykin of the Russian Helicopters holding company is ready to send a batch of Ka-52 Alligator combat reconnaissance and attack helicopters to the troops. This was told by the acting managing director of the company Andrey Semenov within the framework of a Single day of acceptance of military products, the press service of the enterprise reports.
During a video conference with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Andrey Semenov reported that the next batch of Ka-52 combat helicopters manufactured under the state defense order has been tested, accepted by the military mission and is ready for transfer to operating organizations.
In 2021, it is planned to deliver another batch of Alligators, now they are at the final stages of production and testing.
Now, by order of the Ministry of Defense, taking into account the experience of combat use, the company is engaged in the modernization of the helicopter.
"Work is underway to increase the range of detection and recognition of targets, increase the possibilities of using weapons. The issue of increasing the armor protection of the vehicle and updating the power supply system in cooperation with our colleagues is being actively worked out," the head of the enterprise specified.
