Moscow. August 8. INTERFAX-Specialists of all branches of the armed Forces will perform combat training tasks within the framework of bilateral battalion tactical exercises of motorized rifle, tank and artillery units of the Southern Military District (SE), the press service of the SE reported on Sunday.
"The stage of bilateral battalion tactical and special exercises will be held in the period from August 9 to September 15 this year. In addition, the forces of army, military transport, assault and tactical aviation, as well as units and formations, including ships of the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla, will be involved in a single tactical plan," the press service of the Southern Military District said.
"The exercises will be held at 20 combined-arms training grounds located in the Astrakhan and Rostov regions, in the Stavropol and Kuban regions, in Adygea, Dagestan, North Ossetia, Chechnya, Crimea and at Russian military bases in Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia," the report says.
"It is planned to allocate more than 80 aircraft and helicopters daily to participate in joint combat training events by the association of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District," the press service noted.
The Southern Military District noted that by the decision of the commander of the Southern Military District, Army General Alexander Dvornikov, battalion tactical exercises in combined arms associations will be bilateral with the mandatory participation of specialists from various branches of the armed forces, including radiation, chemical and biological protection units, engineering troops, electronic warfare, intelligence, logistics and medical support, and others.
They reported that an indispensable condition for tactical practical jokes will be the use by unit commanders of the experience of modern armed conflicts, non-standard solutions in the management of regular and attached units, the capabilities of reconnaissance-fire and shock circuits.
"The commanders of companies, battalions and their equal units during the upcoming exercises should master the skills of managing the attached forces of various types of aviation - army, assault, operational and tactical," said the commander of the Southern Military District Dvornikov, whose words are quoted in the message.
