On Friday, August 6, at a meeting with the staff of the Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke well about the new multi-purpose boat bearing the name of the city of factory workers. The submarine was built in Severomorsk and launched a few days ago. After completion, it will go to sea for testing.
"The Krasnoyarsk submarine solves important tasks. This is the most modern boat that will carry high-precision long-range weapons. It has the ability to penetrate into hard - to-reach areas," Shoigu said.
The minister half-jokingly noted that he had to choose his words carefully so as not to reveal the tactical and technical characteristics and capabilities of a powerful submarine cruiser. "Krasnoyarsk residents can be proud of this boat," the head of the Russian military department concluded.
