Moscow. August 5. INTERFAX-A ship strike group (KUG) from the formation of ships protecting the water area of troops and forces in the North-East of Russia has returned to its home base after performing combat service tasks in the Pacific Ocean, the press service of the Eastern Military District (VVO) reported on Thursday.
"The Smerch and Razliv small missile ships performed the main tasks of the campaign on interaction between ships when repelling attacks of a conditional air enemy and conducting artillery combat, and also worked out training exits for a missile attack when patrolling designated areas of the Pacific Ocean," the report says.
The press service added that during the combat service, the KUG conducted various exercises with the aircraft of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet( TOPF), and the specialists of the navigator combat unit studied the navigation areas in the ocean zone remote from the home base.
