Moscow. August 4. INTERFAX-A Russian Be-200 aircraft taking part in extinguishing fires in Greece landed today not because of engine damage, but in connection with the operation of the engine sensor, the press service of the Rostec state Corporation reported on Wednesday.
Earlier, the media reported that one of the engines of the Russian Be-200 aircraft, which was sent to help Greece in extinguishing fires, was damaged.
Rostec stressed that "during the execution of tasks to extinguish fires in Greece, the engine sensor of the aircraft tripped."
"To assess the situation, the plane landed, which took place in normal mode, on two engines, without any damage. A short analysis of the operation of the systems and aggregates confirmed the full operability of the engine, " the GC said in a statement.
They noted that after the inspection, the aircraft continued to perform tasks to extinguish fires.
