TSAMTO, August 3. On August 3, a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces was held at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the head of the military Department, Army General Sergei Shoigu.
In the thematic part of the conference call, two issues were considered.
The first concerned the implementation of the state contract for the repair and modernization of the heavy nuclear missile cruiser (TARK) "Admiral Nakhimov".
According to the Minister of Defense, the work is being carried out at the Sevmash enterprise as part of the implementation of the state defense order. Upon their completion, the Russian Navy will receive a ship equipped with powerful strike weapons, the most modern anti-aircraft missile and anti-submarine complexes.
In August last year, the cruiser was removed from the dock and transferred to the embankment to continue the completion work afloat, the installation of general ship systems and deck mechanisms.
At the moment, the installation of equipment and electrical installation works are being carried out.
"Then it is necessary to ensure the preparation of the ship and its new weapons systems in order to start acceptance tests. Today we will discuss in detail the timing of the implementation of the main stages of the state contract, as well as related problems," the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry quotes Sergei Shoigu.
