Russian engineering units in Mulino (Nizhny Novgorod region) have worked out the skills of installing mixed minefields with promising means of constructing mine-explosive barriers. According to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense, the universal minelayer UMZ-K "Tick"was used for the first time.
Also, when performing certain elements at the exercises, new samples of engineering ammunition were used, including the latest anti-wing mines PTKM-1R.
The servicemen worked out joint actions of combined-arms and engineering units to draw a conditional enemy and military equipment into a mined area with subsequent blocking and destruction.
Special exercises of engineering troops are held on the territory of the Western Military District in preparation for the joint strategic exercise "West-2021".
More than 8 thousand servicemen and more than 1.5 thousand units of military equipment are involved in the maneuvers.
