MOSCOW, July 30. /TASS/. PJSC " Il "(part of the United Aircraft Corporation, UAC) is ready to offer a modernization package for updating Il-76 aircraft from around the world. This was announced in an interview with TASS by the first Deputy General Director of the UAC Sergey Yarkov.
"We have a so - called modernization package-a set of solutions for improving the aircraft, expanding its capabilities and operational characteristics, which we have worked out as part of the modernization programs of the existing fleet of Il - 76MD aircraft," he said.
According to him, on the basis of this package, customers are offered wide opportunities to modernize the fleet, including even remotorization. "Having a large fleet of Il-76 aircraft around the world is an important advantage. This park needs maintenance and modernization. For the company, this is an additional resource for ensuring economic stability and a reserve for new supplies, " Yarkov said.
According to the deputy director of the UAC, export versions of the upgraded Il-76MD-90A and the Il-78M-90A tanker are of great interest to customers around the world, primarily in the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
