TSAMTO, July 29. On July 28, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin visited the Amur Shipbuilding Plant (ASZ, part of the USC) and inspected the corvette ships of project 20380 and small rocket ships of project 22800 "Karakurt"under construction.
Currently, the ASZ is implementing a project of comprehensive reconstruction of production facilities, the purpose of which is to prepare the enterprise for the construction of civil vessels while maintaining the pace of ship construction in the interests of the Russian Navy.
The Prime Minister noted the importance of continuing the diversification process. "In the segment of civil shipbuilding, these are, in particular, emergency rescue vessels. You are already doing such projects. And ferries. Quite serious projects that allow connecting Sakhalin with the mainland on the Vanino – Kholmsk line. In fact, it is the most important element of transport accessibility and transport logistics. And in general, the production of such elements may be interesting for our relations in the Asia-Pacific region," M. Mishustin said.
The Prime Minister inspected the ships under construction and thanked the plant's staff for their good work, "for the work that is very important for the country, in demand."
