As Sergey Ganin noted, the test program is currently continuing, the aircraft confirms the design characteristics laid down during the design of the machine
MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. The newest Il-112B military transport aircraft will be able to update the fleet of Russian light military transport aircraft, which is dominated by An-26 aircraft. This was told to TASS by the chief designer of PJSC Il (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation) Sergey Ganin.
"The IL-112B is a light military transport aircraft that can replace turboprop aircraft of such dimensions as the An-24 and An-26. But it is important to note here that the Antonov planes are still Soviet-era aircraft created for the tasks and in accordance with the requirements of that era. And the Il-112B is an aircraft of today that meets modern requirements for the complex of equipment, for the power plant, and for environmental standards and noise," Ganin informed.
According to him, an important condition for creating a new car is completely domestic components, systems and equipment. "We work only with domestic suppliers, and this will provide an important economic advantage in the development of the program, among other things. IL-112 is fully managed through the chain of cooperation. This guarantees predictable pricing, " Ganin said.
As the chief designer noted, the test program is currently continuing, the aircraft confirms the design characteristics laid down during the design of the machine. "Now we are confirming the characteristics that were specified in the technical specification and are presented to the aircraft. In addition, these requirements take into account the development of the platform, taking into account the fact that the machine will certainly continue to be modified. We understand that the range of goods will only increase, " Ganin summed up.
