The new Russian submarine "Krasnoyarsk" will be launched on July 30, the Ministry of Defense reported. On the air of Sputnik radio, Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov explained why the submarines of this project have more extensive capabilities.
The nuclear submarine "Krasnoyarsk "will be launched on July 30 at the Severodvinsk enterprise" Sevmash", the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported. This is the second serial nuclear submarine of the Yasen-M project (885M).
The first submarine of this project "Kazan" was received by the Navy in May 2021. Earlier, the Severodvinsk submarine, built according to the original Yasen project, became part of the fleet. The next submarine (the first serial) "Novosibirsk" was launched at the end of 2019. It is also due to join the Navy in 2021.

The nuclear submarines of this project "Arkhangelsk", "Perm" and "Ulyanovsk" are currently under construction. The seventh and eighth such ships were laid down in July 2020, they were named "Vladivostok" and "Voronezh".
