The lead nuclear submarine of the project 885M "Yasen-M ""Kazan" after participating in the naval parade in Severomorsk went on exercises in the Barents Sea. This was reported on Monday, July 26, by the press service of the Northern Fleet (SF).
"The crew of the Kazan submarine left for the Barents Sea this morning. Within a few days, he will work out a set of measures for the course of combat training of submarines, " the report says.
In addition, the SF noted that the strategic submarine Novomoskovsk is already completing the interbase transition to the main home base, Interfax writes.
The lead submarine of the project 885M "Yasen-M ""Kazan" was launched on March 31, 2017. On September 25, 2018, she entered factory sea trials. The main attack weapons of the submarines of the 885/885M project are Onyx and Kalibr cruise missiles, and in the future, hypersonic Zircons.
