They recalled that initially the Vortex-1 missile was created and its state tests were carried out for use as part of the armament of the Ka-50 Black Shark helicopters. But in 2018, special flight tests of the "Vortex" were completed on Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopters. In April of this year, the concern reported on the early implementation of the state contract for the supply of such missiles to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to Kalashnikov, the RG says, the "Vortex", designed to destroy ground-based armored and low-flying air objects, is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 10 kilometers. The rocket reaches a speed of more than 600 meters per second. And its tandem cumulative warhead penetrates 750 millimeters of homogeneous armor behind dynamic protection.
