The missile variant proposed by the Russian Aerospace Forces has been fully developed and put into service with the Indian Air Force, BrahMos Aerospace reported

The Russian-Indian joint venture (JV) BrahMos Aerospace is waiting for the decision of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the acquisition of an air-launched cruise missile of joint development. This was announced to TASS on Wednesday during the MAKS-2021 air show by the head of the Russian part of the joint venture, Alexander Maksichev.
"We offered our rocket to the Russian aerospace Forces. Now the choice is up to those who make the decision to purchase it," he said, answering a question about the prospects for ordering a missile of the Russian Armed Forces.
The head of the joint venture noted that the version of the BrahMos missile proposed by the Russian Aerospace Forces has been fully developed and put into service with the Indian Air Force.
In the Indian Air Force, 40 Su-30MKI fighters are designed for the use of BrahMos missiles. The flight range of the air-launched BrahMos cruise missile is 300 km. During the tests, six launches of this type of missiles were carried out against ground and surface targets.
This year, the International Aviation and Space Salon celebrates its 15th anniversary. It takes place from July 20 to 25 in Zhukovsky.
