The Radioelectronic Technologies Concern (KRET, part of Rostec) will develop a unique air purification system for the International Space Station (ISS) that provides almost 100% protection against all viruses. This was announced to TASS within the framework of MAKS-2021 by the general director of the concern Nikolai Kolesov.
"Currently, work is underway to create an air purification system based on the Tiocraft technology for the ISS. The device according to the technical task of Roscosmos will be ready by the fall. We plan to send the device into orbit next year, " he said.
KRET has developed a unique air purification system "Tiokraft", which completely decomposes viruses. This system is already being purchased by Russian departments, and is also being exported.
The International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2021) is held from July 20 to 25 in Zhukovsky, near Moscow.
