Motorized rifle units of the 201st military base in Tajikistan will receive 17 modern infantry fighting vehicles BMP-2M. This was announced by the commander of the troops of the Central Military District (CVO) Alexander Lapin.
According to him, armored vehicles will significantly increase their combat capabilities when performing tasks in any situation.
The new IFVs should replace outdated models of equipment of motorized rifle units.
The BMP-2M has an automatic fire control system, which allows the commander and the gunner to act as a single unit. The armored vehicles are also equipped with panoramic aiming and observation devices. It is equipped with a radio station R-168 "Aqueduct", which is able to work steadily even in conditions of radio-electronic exposure.
