Today, the XV International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021 opened in Zhukovsky, near Moscow, and its work will last until July 25. Among the novelties, the exhibition includes: the modernized UAV interceptor "Wolf-18", the radar-optical complex for ensuring the safety of objects and neutralization of drones ROSC-1, the mobile small-sized solid-state meteorological radar "DMRL-3", the X-band airfield survey radar station" Alkor", a wide-range and airfield multi-position surveillance system, automatic dependent surveillance equipment (AZN-B).

The Alkor solid-state radar is used for monitoring and controlling the movement of aircraft, special vehicles, technical equipment and other objects located at the airfield. It works both in offline mode with the issuance of information to the dispatcher's workplace, and as part of ground traffic management and control systems (A-SMGCS), which solve tasks to increase the capacity of airports and ensure the safety of ground traffic.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation [...] reported that the latest S-500 anti-aircraft missile system with live firing at a high-speed ballistic target was tested at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan Region. According to the military department, the live firing conducted as part of the tests confirmed the specified tactical and technical characteristics and high reliability of the complex. After the completion of the full test cycle, the equipment plans provide for the delivery of the first S-500 system to the Air Defense-missile defense association near Moscow.
