The development of civil aircraft construction remains one of the most important priorities for Russia with its vast territory. On July 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at a meeting on the implementation of key projects in the field of civil aircraft construction on the sidelines of the MAKS-2021 International Aerospace Salon.
"The transport accessibility and connectivity of the regions, the increase in passenger and cargo traffic, the mobility of citizens, the increase in export potential and, of course, the stability of our air enterprises, research institutes, design bureaus, where more than 400 thousand highly qualified specialists work, directly depend on the effective work of the industry," the Russian leader said.
According to the head of state, it is important to ensure the stable operation of Russian airlines in the post-crisis period.
Earlier in the day, the president noted that drones, robotic complexes, artificial intelligence are the areas in which aviation will continue to develop.
As Putin noted, the Russian Federation is ready to cooperate in the field of aviation and cosmonautics with all interested countries. The models presented at the MAKS Air Show clearly demonstrate that Russian aviation has a great potential for development.
On the first day of MAKS-2021, viewers will be able to see the flights of Ka-226 and Mi-171 helicopters, Su-57 and MiG-35 fighters and an experienced passenger aircraft MS-21-310.
