"As part of the ongoing flight design tests (LKI) of the hypersonic Zircon, the product will be launched at a sea target at the maximum range in the near future, "he said.
According to the source, the recent launch of the "Zircon" from the frigate on a ground target was also carried out during the LKI. The interlocutor of the agency noted that the missile demonstrated exceptional accuracy, "hitting right into the peg" (the so-called center of the circle denoting the target).
The NGO of Mechanical Engineering (part of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation), where they developed and produced "Zircons", did not comment on this information.
