TSAMTO, July 16. On July 15, a solemn ritual of the first raising of the St. Andrew's Flag took place in Primorsk, Kaliningrad Region, on the newest high-speed landing boats of the BK-16 type project 02510, built for the Baltic Fleet at the Rybinsk Shipyard JSC.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the command and military personnel of the Baltic Fleet. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Navy, Rear Admiral Oleg Apishev, handed the St. Andrew's flags to the boat commanders. Then, to the sounds of the anthem of the Russian Federation, they were raised on the stern of the combat units of the fleet.
This event was preceded by the successful implementation of the program of factory running (ZHI) and state tests (GI), during which all the systems and weapons of the boats were checked for their intended purpose.
After successfully passing the ZHI and GI, the State Admission Commission signed acts on the acceptance of boats from the manufacturer to the Russian Navy. By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, landing boats are included in the combat composition of the Baltic Fleet.
For reference:
The high-speed transport and amphibious boats of the project 02510 are designed for the transfer and landing of troops, fire support of troops, participation in anti-sabotage operations, the fight against piracy and terrorism, the transportation of light cargo and participation in rescue operations.
