INTERFAX-URAL-Servicemen of the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan, who perform tasks in mountainous and high-altitude areas, were trained at the Ergaki training center in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the press service of the Central Military District (CVO) reported on Thursday.
"About 100 servicemen overcame rocky areas of the terrain for a month using special mountain equipment, learned to wade through water obstacles in special conditions, transport weapons, ammunition and bulky cargo, worked out life support issues in high-altitude conditions, safety during climbing, as well as providing first aid and evacuation of the wounded from mountainous areas and terrain areas," the report says.
It is noted that the final element of the training of military personnel was the passage of a 20-kilometer route with an altitude of up to 3 thousand meters. m and with an exit to the designated point by coordinates.
The training of military personnel was conducted by the teaching staff of the Center, as well as instructors of mountain training of military units.
The military sports training center "Ergaki" of the Central Military District is located in the foothills of the Western Sayan at an altitude of more than 1.3 thousand meters above sea level. Every year, it receives more than 1 thousand military personnel who are engaged in mountain and ski training programs, as well as work out joint actions with army aviation crews.
In addition, a universal sports complex is located on the territory of the center, in which conditions for rehabilitation are created, the CVO clarifies.
