The neural network will be able to recognize garbage when cleaning reservoirs
MOSCOW, July 14. /TASS/. The Center for Technological Projects of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University named after Peter the Great, together with the Nakhimov Naval School, developed an educational project, according to the results of which the students of the school will be able to use unmanned boats. This was reported to TASS by the director of the center Alexey Maistro.
"We have developed an educational and methodological complex for introducing the basics of robotics into the educational process of Nakhimov residents, developed a manual for it, and this is not just teaching robotics and mathematics, but also solving applied problems, such as building a three - dimensional map of the depths, searching for sources of pollution, and even working with an underwater manipulator," he said.
According to him, participants will be able to train a neural network to recognize garbage when cleaning reservoirs. "They have already received this equipment and we will hold a competition in the robotic all-around at the Army - 2021 forum," Maistro said.
According to the director of the Center for Technological Projects, the training will take place on the newest robotic vessel "CyberBoat-330", which was developed by scientists of the Polytechnic University.
Earlier it was reported that Russia has developed a new autonomous boat-drone to combat poaching. "CyberBoat-330" can work independently, direct communication with the operator is not necessary. Light weight and small dimensions allow you to transport the platform on a trailer behind the minibus.
