TSAMTO, July 7. Divisions of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are able to conduct reconnaissance of premises with zero illumination using a small-sized wireless inspection robot "Sphere".
The wireless inspection device with a circular view "Sphere" is designed for the rapid collection and transmission of audio and video information from hard - to-reach and dangerous areas for humans. The device can conduct a circular view due to four video cameras. In addition, the "Sphere" is equipped with a vertical positioning system of the device.
The device is controlled from a remote control. The operating time of the "Sphere" from the battery is at least 20 minutes at a range of at least 50 m. With a diameter of 90 mm, the mass of the device does not exceed 610 g. A dust-and moisture-proof case is used for storing and transporting the "Sphere", according to the Information Support Group of the Ground Forces.
