TSAMTO, July 2. The Amur Shipbuilding Plant (ASZ) is the main base in the Far East for the construction of warships for the Pacific Fleet. In particular, Amur shipbuilders have successfully mastered the construction of corvettes of the project 20380.
As already reported, on July 1 at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant (part of the USC), a multi-purpose patrol ship (corvette) of project 20380 "Sharp" (factory construction No. 2104) was withdrawn from the workshop and placed in the completion dock. The slipway construction period has ended for this order. There are completion works and tests ahead.
As noted in JSC "USC", the ship's withdrawal took place on the day of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the launch of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant into commercial operation.
Three patrol boats built on the ASZ were previously transferred to the Russian Navy: "Perfect", "Loud", "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov", before the end of the year they will be joined by "Sharp". This line will later be continued by the new corvette "Grozny".
The construction of the patrol ships of the next project, the contract for which the ASZ received at the end of last year, will begin with the corvette "Buyny" – the plant must fulfill the order for six combat units by 2028. ASZ is currently working on another important military order – a series of four small rocket ships of the Karakurt type, the press service of USC JSC reports.
