In the Kaliningrad Region, the Borisoglebsk-1 electronic warfare system was successfully used against drones.
As part of the exercises, the electronic warfare units received an order to neutralize attack unmanned aerial vehicles in cooperation with the radar points of the motorized rifle unit of the Army Corps of the Baltic Fleet.
The servicemen practiced the skills of coordination of actions and interfacing of various stations and complexes of electronic suppression and reconnaissance at the Pugachevo training ground near the city of Gusev.
The personnel of the radar units performed the tasks of detecting UAVs flying at medium and minimum altitudes on real targets and transmitted data on them to the electronic warfare systems. After that, the operators, using the Borisoglebsk-1 electronic warfare systems, remotely brought the drones of the conditional enemy out of working condition.
About 100 specialists took part in the exercises, more than 20 units of special military equipment were involved, Captain of the 1st rank Roman Martov, head of the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the Baltic Fleet, told the Military-Industrial Courier.
