TSAMTO, June 30. By the end of this year, specialists of the Military Construction Complex of the Russian Defense Ministry will erect 30 different buildings and structures as part of the development of the infrastructure of the mooring front for the deployment of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet in Kamchatka.
On June 29, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov inspected the progress of the work during a working trip to the troops of the Eastern Military District.
Military builders have already commissioned two piers, a compressor and charging and power stations, and communications have been brought in.
The piers form a wet dock. A powerful reinforced concrete structure with a height of more than 50 m in some places will reliably protect submarines staying at the facility from wave action and ocean swell. The technology of their construction takes into account all possible weather influences at all stages of construction.
On the territory formed at the berth, the construction of the coastal infrastructure continues to provide the facility and ships with energy facilities and engineering networks. Shore protection has also been erected to protect against wave impacts.
At the base of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet, specialists of the Military Construction Complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation are working on the construction of objects of the pier zone designed to accommodate submarines, including a new generation, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
